Avery Sunshine

Avery Sunshine has a unique style that blends R&B with soul, gospel music, and R&B. Sunshine has appeared on Broadway as well as at the Democratic National Convention and in clubs and festivals throughout Europe. Sunshine is the daughter of Denise White. Although she is based in Atlanta but her origins are situated in Chester Pennsylvania. There she started to pursue a musical career as a singer and pianist at church. Following her graduation from Spellman College, Atlanta she began her musical journey on the Atlanta's R&B musical scene. The Fighting Temptations The single that featured her vocals, Stalk You A House 12 was only released in Japan. It has been remixed numerous times and it is a mainstay in her live performance. Her voice has also been a part of singing to The Fighting Temptations' soundtrack. She took on the role of primary piano player for Tyler Perry's stage show Meet the Browns. Jennifer Holliday was the Grammy and Tony Award winner who approached her in 2007 about serving as the director of chorus for Dreamgirls which was a stage production in Atlanta's National Black Arts Festival. Sunshine received national attention for 4 performances a day during the Democratic National Convention in 2008. Sunshine was chosen to sing as part of President Barack Obama's inauguration ceremony in 2009.
